Become a Member

The mission of the Pella Historic Downtown Retail group is to be a community of businesses who partner together to learn, collaborate, and enhance the downtown retail climate in Pella, and the time is now, to renew your membership!

Currently we have over forty business members, with many more on the list to be recruited to help!

As a member-business of PHDR, you get:

  1. Full membership to the Pella Area Community & Economic Alliance (P.A.C.E.) at a lower rate.

  2. Advertising on our website www.downtownpelladistrict.com and the Downtown Pella District Facebook and Instagram pages, where members may post and advertise sales, specials, and events on a weekly basis; a great combined social media outlet for all!

  3. The opportunity to volunteer in the planning of PHDR driven events.

  4. Communication and sharing of ideas: The PHDR group uses Slack messaging to electronically share information on ideas, advertising opportunities, store hours, upcoming events, etc.

  5. Attendance at member meetings every second Friday at 8:00 a.m. to interact with other owners and ask questions / share challenges and also share information, ideas, and concerns.

  6. Regular updates on city events, street closures, and other activities outside of our group.

  7. Advertising buy-downs in local publications, posters and promotional materials, etc. for downtown events.

  8. Your business has the opportunity to be included in the PHDR sponsored events, some of which are listed in the next section.

  • The Pella Wine Walk

  • Ridiculous Days

  • Tour of Stores in Partnership with Marion County Bank

  • Small Business Saturday Promotion

  • Coordinating holiday/special store hours

  • Monthly meeting-get to know your business neighbors.

  • A NEW addition to this list is FIRST FRIDAYS.

  • the Boutique Bus Crawl

  • seasonal styleshows

  • Crazy Days in March

  • Teacher Appreciation

  • Warm Up in Pella

  • Together We Can (in partnership with Marion County Bank)
